In summer 2023 we were awarded an NSF grant to study the Lights Creek stock in more detail, including examining the distribution of hydrothermal alteration across the pluton, characterizing the different IOCG deposits associated with the stock and investigating the geologic history of the stock including age, P-T conditions and relationship to surrounding rocks. This funding will support research by three MS students, 12 semesters of undergraduate students and three class research projects.
